I never even got out of my pajamas today. All I did all day long was snuggle on the couch with my puppy, watch tv, & take long naps. It was fabulous.

This is my finisher's medal from the Nike Women's Marathon that I received on October 21, 2007 in San Francisco, CA. It was given to me by a man in a tuxedo as I crossed the finish line. I even video taped it:

I still cry every time I watch that. I can still hardly believe I did it. I ran the HELL out of that marathon & even though it took me 7 hours, 10 minutes, & 25 seconds to get to that finish line, I'm more proud of those 7 hours than practically anything else I've done in my life. It's not just that run, but everything I did to get there.

Show us something you made by hand.

Obviously I didn't make the high chair myself, but I did paint the design on it. It was done for an upscale children's store here in Houston. Their client wanted something with bugs that could be used for a boy or a girl & they let me do whatever I wanted. I had a great time doing it & the client loved it. :)

Right now it's a toss-up between these two because for the first time, I can really see that my weight loss efforts have been paying off. (So far I've lost 25 pounds!!) And while I'm sweaty & drunk in both of these, I still think I look damn good!

Birthday shoes

I bought these to wear to my birthday celebration this year. I love them! Whenever I wear them, my whole attitude changes. I walk taller (kinda obvious considering they're about 3 or 4" heels), I have a little strut in my step, & I feel sexy. They have become my staple "going out" shoes.
