How are you spending Christmas Day?
Here's how it went down:
- Mom rudely woke me up at 9 am to open presents. I wanted to sleep more. She said "you can sleep tomorrow!"
- Opened presents.
- Ate super yummy breakfast of scrambled eggs w/ cheese & salsa wrapped in tortillas & home made cinnamon rolls with fresh OJ.
- Bummed around the house in my jammies until about 3 pm while briefly chatting w/ siblings & grandmother on the phone throughout the day.
- Went for a quick 3.5 mile run around my parents' neighborhood.
- Showered.
- Had super yummy dinner of mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, rolls, & jello (no turkey for me... just my parents) with individual home made chocolate molten lava cakes for dessert. OMG... SO f'ing good!!!
- Left parents' house around 7:30 to meet several flickr friends for drinks (one of my friends' dad is in the hospital & needed cheering up).
- Hung out w/ friends at House of Pies until about 11 pm.
- Went to great Greek bar for cocktails til 12:30 am.
- Went to great dive bar for more cocktails til 2 am.
- Went to my friend, Jenn's house for refreshments & girl bonding til just after 4:30 am.
- Got home around 4:45 am.
- Passed out.

I hate internet dating.
I've mentioned it here before, but I'm gonna talk about it again. On October 21, I will be running the Nike Women's Marathon as a member of Team in Training. In addition to running the marathon, I am also raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This money will be used for things like cancer research, education, & patient & family aid. This is all very personal for me because I lost my dear friend & brother-in-law, Dave to Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma 6-1/2 years ago. He was 40. Then just this summer, Meredith, the 27 year old sister of a very good friend of mine was diagnosed with Lymphoma. (Thankfully the chemo is working & she's almost completely cancer-free!) I'm running this race in their honor.
For this marathon, I am committed to raising a minimum of $4100 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I've almost reached that goal, but could use a little help. So I'm asking my Vox friends for help. If you have the means & the will, please click here to go to my TNT website & make a donation. It's fast, easy, & best of all... it's TAX DEDUCTIBLE!! All donations must be received by the end of this week.
Thank you SO much for your help!! :)
